Born: 8th July 1953 Amsterdam, The Netherlands. Migrated to Australia in 1960.
Showing artistic talent even at an early age, he won various youth art prizes.
In the seventies Albert undertook to follow a diploma course in fine art at Caulfield Institute of Technology in Victoria, after which he decided to set up his own studio in Prahran, Melbourne, and has been a professional artist since then.
While constantly developing a deeper spiritual artistic direction in his work, Albert has been painting more traditional works as well. His comtemporary landscapes, figurative works, as well as thought provoking abstracts are known for their vividness and liveliness of expression, exuding great passion and positivity. His paintings of Australian scenery, with all it's varied texture and rich colour, allowed him to express himself in his unique sculptural style of painting which is easily recognised.
Albert's visually uplifting works have been well received and sold throughout Australia as well as to private collections in Japan, Singapore, Europe and in the U.S.A.
