Aboriginal painter and printmaker, daughter of the artists Rosie Karadada (q.v.) and Louis Karadada; born in Kalumburu, in the north-west of the Kimberley, Western Australia. Regina’s tribal group is Wunumbul which is one of the three tribes that are custodians of the Wandjinas and Gyorn Gyorn people, within the Kimberley region.
Her work on canvas, bark and in printmaking relates to traditional Rock Art in the Kimberley; her themes are the Wandjinas and Gyorn Gyorn figures, the spirit creators of her families region. She began making prints at the Australian Print Workshop, Melbourne after being awarded an APW Collie Print Trust Fellowship in 2009.
